I am a Brazilian-born independent filmmaker who has been making films since the mid 1990′s. I lived in Australia from 2000 to 2012 and moved back to Brazil in October 2012. I now work as an editor of SESC Instrumental at Canal Independente, in São Paulo, Brazil. I am also finishing a Doctorate of Creative Arts (DCA) at the University of Western Sydney which is delivering a feature documentary and a 30,000 words exegesis.
I am interested in the ethical, political and artistic dimensions of the documentary form. In my previous films, I have explored my filmmaking voice in the video poetry, the road-documentary, the Auteur animated documentary, the character driven and in the format documentary for television. Some of my films have won awards, screened on TV and Film Festivals. Throughout the years I have collected extensive experience teaching the conceptual and technical aspects of filmmaking.
Before working in film, I worked as an airline pilot. From aviation I inherited a technical mind and an interest in diverse cultures and human stories.
